“I worked with a 16-year-old student with bad behavior which resulted in her not being able to communicate with family and at school. During the 12-week individual sessions, I learned that she was angry, suffered from sleep disorder, shut off the family and the world. During our sessions, she learned how to identify, acknowledge and deal with anger. She became excited about being able to overcome her anger. Within the 6–12-week point, we worked on generating solutions together and with her mom, family and at school, to negotiate a win-win situation. She now has a job and is able to communicate and have conversations with her mother, eat throughout the day, sleep, and feels better.”
