DIVERSITY & INCLUSION MISSION STATEMENT

The Cook County Southland Juvenile Justice Council’s mission is to reduce juvenile delinquency within South Suburban Cook County. Our approach to diversity & inclusion are holistic and restorative. Everyone is welcome and we encourage all to be themselves! We are inclusive. We celebrate multiple approaches and points of view. We believe diversity drives innovation, motivation, and participation. We take a restorative and holistic approach. We’re always growing our network of people, programs, and restorative tools.  All are tailored to help employees, subcontractors, members, and supporters grow, thrive, and evolve into their authentic selves.

EVERY MOMENT COUNTS

The development of a Cook County Southland Juvenile Justice Council (SJJC) provides local government with the vision, guidance and support they need to collectively address the violence and juvenile delinquency problem from a local perspective, and comply with the Illinois Juvenile Court Act of 1987.
