Many ask questions about Restorative Justice and it’s importance. We are here to shed a little light on the importance of using Restorative Justice and Restorative Practices to combat the systemic racial divide that leads to incarceration. The school-to-prison pipeline is real, especially for children of color. If we authentically change the way we handle minor infractions from a restorative lens in our educational system(s), we can decrease the likelihood of our youth going from suspension or expulsion to juvenile detention centers and prisons.
